Have you ever wondered what types of therapy we offer at Envision? Or perhaps you’ve also wondered which techniques address different issues. To help, here is a list of some of the therapies we offer at Envision and how we use them; however, this is not an all-inclusive list.
There are many types of therapy-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you change your thoughts and behaviors so you can improve how you feel. One example is diaphramic breathing to help relieve anxiety or physical pain.
Strengths Based Therapy -This is an approach that draws out the strengths within clients to resolve mental health concerns.
Solution Focused Therapy – This is a short-term therapy that’s meant to solve less complex problems.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – This is a technique that helps reprocess and desensitize our reactions to traumatic experiences. This technique uses “bilateral stimulation” meaning that we see lights or hear clicks or feel taps alternating between the left and right side.
Exposure Therapy helps you revisit trauma, build new understanding, and strengthen emotional stability.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you create a rich, meaningful life while accepting the pain that inevitably comes with it.
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy helps couples and families understand the emotions of the people closest to them. It helps couples to feel close again.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy helps couples identify interaction patterns, build relationship skills, meet each other’s needs, and manage conflict effectively.
We offer individual, premarital/marital counseling, psychological and academic testing, and parent coaching. Our therapists range from interns completing their master’s programs to LPCCs, LPCs, and licensed psychologists.
