Homeschool families in Douglas County can now take care of achievement testing requirements locally in Castle Rock! Envision offers achievement testing for all grades (reading, writing, and mathematics) to evaluate your child’s academic progress. We use the Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement, 4th Edition (WJ-IV) a nationally standardized assessment accepted by Douglas County School District (and others). The WJ-IV has 11 subtests that measure broad range and specific academic abilities such as:
- reading comprehension and fluency
- math skills and fluency
- sentence-writing skills and fluency
We also have the ability to offer more specific academic testing if your child presents with learning difficulties, giftedness, twice exceptionality, or mental health concerns. Tests are individually administered to your child at our Castle Rock counseling location and parents receive a written report with results.
