Douglas “DJ” Roberts, M.Ed., Ed.S., Unlicensed Psychotherapist
When we have hope, and learn to see life differently, we are free to experience change. DJ is compassionate, direct, non-judgmental, and supportive. As a former YoungLife leader, he has a particular passion and expertise for working with teenagers and young adults as they struggle to define their identities and adjust to the demands of peers, schools, families and society. Tweens, teens, and young adults feel called to be their best self when they sit with DJ.
DJ Roberts has a Masters degree in Education (M.Ed) as well as a Specialist degree in School Psychology (Ed.S) from Georgia State University. He is an Unlicensed Psychotherapist in the state of Colorado, which is the designation for school psychologists working in a private practice. Additionally, he is trained in social, behavioral and psychological assessment and is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals struggling with mental health and behavioral disorders.
To date, DJ has 9 scholarly articles and has published in journals such as The School Psychologist, Child Development, and Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability. He has presented his research at many national conferences as well as in Europe, and recently received a grant to help improve dating and relationships for teenagers and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at school.
